Canadian national locomotive 6060. It was first assigned to haul premier passenger trains and eventually fast freight trains on the CN until its retirement in 1959. The Canadian National U-1-f class was the final revision of the railroad’s 4-8-2 mountain type, and were built in 1944 by the Montreal Locomotive Works in Quebec. The locomotive is seen in excursion service in the 1970s. Fifty years ago, 6218 made its last runs from Belleville to Anson Junction, and afterwards it would be two more years until another Mountain-type, CN 6060 was brought from Jasper Canadian National 6060 Sometime in the 70's, the Canadian National Railroad restored steam locomotive 6060, and placed her in regular scheduled service, pulling a passenger train from Toronto to Niagara Falls on summer Sundays. By 1976, CN added steam to the regular schedule. They were numbered 6060–6079 by CN and nicknamed "Bullet Nose Bettys" due to their distinctive cone-shape smokebox door cover.
